“My Pappadums are finally online, we can’t believe it. The team at 3rd Eye approached it professionally with a friendly service. We made many suggestions and they listened to all of them. They came up with good solutions and setup business processes that prepared us for an online venture. We are lucky to have such a knowledgeable team to lead us in the future. Our business has been given a new lease of life on the internet. Also we cannot believe it, we have a PR 4 already, and its only been 2 weeks, 3rdeye have not only given me a perfect ecommerce solution but a very well optimised website. The proof is in the pudding!”
We gained fantastic and positive feedback which we will take on board and use to improve the functionality and vision of our product.
The day ended with a night of drinking and networking where the iDesktop.tv Team was able to make many contacts to help iDesktop.tv get even better for the future.
Teorem's Blog writes
"iDesktop.TV : better user interface than usual reader, highly personalizable, seems to target people wanted to have their own L&F reader on their site. Existing example: mashable, techcrunch. Monetization : subscription, advertisement in videos, services."
The application involved writing a short description about iDesktop.tv. From this, Lukasz Gadowski(Spreadshirt) and Brady Forrest (O'Reilly) chose iDesktop.tv to present with 5 other finalists (Aka-aki, Amazee, Plista, SoundCloud and Txtr)
at the Web.20 Expo in Berlin. iDesktop.tv were the only UK based
compnay. The format was simple, five minutes on stage and a maximum of
15 slides, no demos and videos are allowed. We gave a presentation on the upcoming release v2.0.
Jason Grimmitt and Dale Pepper flew over to Berlin to represent
iDesktop.tv. At 17.45 local time, iDesktop.tv
were on stage in front of over 1000 people including Lukasz Gadowski,
Christophe Maire, Brady Forrest and Mike Butcher, who gave feedback on the presentations. The presentation went well with all the judges giving postitive feedback.
With over 10 years of experience in screensaver development, 3rd Eye Solutions managed to help National Express resolve and redevelop their screensaver to reflect their new branding exercise.
Here is a testimonial from David Jones, Director of IT Infrastructure for National Express:
"National Express undertook a major business restructure and
rebranding exercise in 2008 which resulted in a requirement to roll out
a new Active Directory and associated infrastructure to all its UK
based employees. To support the new branding we needed to be able to
replace a number of different desktop backgrounds and screensavers with
a new look that could be easily deployed to thousands of desktops
through Active Directory Group Policy. 3rd Eye was selected to develop
the screensaver and was given the brief. 3rd Eye turned round a design
very quickly and this was approved instantly. From first contact to
delivery of the finished product was inside one week which is
staggeringly fast and we are more than happy with the look of the
finished product and the ease of deployment. Excellent service,
thanks.”
iDesktop.tv has been included in Startups’ list of the UK’s best new businesses
iDesktop.tv has been included on Startups’ list of the top 100 best startup companies in the UK. The list is “the definitive countdown to the UK’s most innovative, inspiring and ground-breaking new companies”. Amongst the criteria applied whilst creating the list was that the business had to be exciting. Also, Startups wanted to see businesses that displayed:
• ‘Innovation, in concept or delivery
• Ability to disrupt existing market places
• Demonstratable growth potential.
• Strong management, bright thinkers
• Evidence of existing or future revenues’
The company felt that iDesktop.tv met these criteria. We are extremely pleased that iDesktop.tv made the cut, out of more than 500 businesses.
Nice!! And now to deliver! And, no, we didn’t pay someone who knew someone to get featured on this list.
